The Consultation Meeting of the PUIC along the side lines of the 122ed Assembly of the IPU

The General Secretariat of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States presents its compliments to all the august Member Parliaments and with reference to its Note No. MP-122IPU/10-064 of 15^th February, 2010 regarding the Agenda of the Consultation Meeting of the Islamic Group along the side lines of the 122^nd Assembly of the IPU, has the honour to attach the revised Draft Agenda for the said meeting.

The PUIC General Secretariat while enclosing the revised draft Agenda would like to inform that the PUIC had requested the IPU to arrange the PUIC Consultation Meeting of the Islamic Group on 27th March, 2010. The IPU informed that On Saturday, 27 March, the main informal meetings room was already fully booked for meetings of the six official geopolitical groups which meet on the occasion of each IPU statutory Assembly, as per the IPU Statutes and Rules and therefore were unable to arrange the meeting on 27th March and therefore arranged the meeting for 28th March, 2010 at 10.30 to 13.00 hours.

The General Secretariat of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all the august Member Parliaments, the assurances of its highest consideration.

We are following with the utmost concern the heinous practices and the incessant provocations perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces aimed at Judaizing Al-Quds Al-sharif and damaging the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, First Qibla and Third of the Holy Mosques, and which is held as most sacred and revered by all Muslims.
We condemn and denounce such Israeli policies which flout international legitimacy and contravene all international resolutions relevant to the status of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
In this juncture we appeal to all the Member Parliaments to rally in support of Al-Aqsa, preserve Islamic sanctities therein and back the struggle of Maghdisi people who are defending it.
We reiterate the total readiness of the PUIC General Secretariat to put into effect what the august Member Parliaments deem as necessary in this regard.

The Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) Prof. Mahmud Erol KILI� has been following with the utmost interest and deep concern the unfolding conditions in Uighur Xinjiang region of the People�s Republic of China. Communal violence in the area has resulted in huge losses in people and properties as well as creating an atmosphere of panic and fear among the population of Xinjiang.

IPU Side line Meeting 6 Apr 2009

On the sidelines of the120^th Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU) in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), the PUIC Islamic Group held a consultation meeting at 8:30 am, Monday 6^th April 2009 in Hall No.6 of the UN Centre for International Conferences in implementation of the resolution adopted by the 9^th Session of the PUIC Council.
